Midseason update

Phew!! What a great season so far. We are halfway through, and things are going well thanks to everyone who is pitching in and volunteering. Without volunteers, we would not be able to have this amazing opportunity for the kids to play in our community and develop that sense of pride that comes with it. So… THANK YOU!  If you haven’t taken the opportunity to volunteer, there are still slots available for May. Just go to https://www.kieferyouthsports.org click volunteer opportunities and sign up.

Coaches will be reaching out, if they have not already, about team pictures. Please be patient as we work through all the teams. Also, we will be announcing a date for our end of the season activity very soon, so be sure to stay connected.

We would like to give a Kiefer Youth Sports shout out to all of those that have gotten donations and bought or sold advertising this season. This funding along with gate and concession proceeds are what supports the league, as we are not financially supported by the school or town.  This funding has allowed us to continue with improvements to the facility. We will be continuing to make improvements throughout the season and during off-season, if you are interested in helping, please reach out to us. Items that we need are, 50’ to 100’ poles for lighting. If you know of any, or have personal contacts that do, that is great also. We cannot afford to purchase these at market cost or new at this time. We have applied for several grants, but it can be a grueling process, so we are looking for other avenues.

Keep up the good work and enjoy the rest of the season!

PLAY BALL!!!

Tournament Help

Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend tournament a huge success!!! We have had a lot of positive feedback from the community and are excited to do it again this weekend. However, we NEED YOUR HELP! Please sign up to help with taking gate admission or in the concession stands. Even if you can just help out for a few hours that can be a big boost.

Also, if you took pictures this weekend that you would like to share, please tag Kiefer Youth Sports, Inc so that we can let everyone know all the great things that are happening in the park!

Volunteer opportunities this weekend

Happy Monday everyone!!! Exciting week this week. We will be working hard to get ready for our season opening tournament at our fields for 6U, 8U, and 10U Baseball on Saturday. We still have some things to complete on the fields, so if you can be of assistance in anyway, please reach out to Ostin via text (918)497-8962. Secondly, we have posted our first sign-up sheet www.kieferyouthsports.org/sheet/apr-13-tournament-volunteer/ for concession help and gate help. It is very important that we have help covering these things. Our League is supported financially, strictly by donations, advertising and what we make from gate and concessions. This money goes to the improvements you have seen going on, insurance, league fees, field maintenance equipment, playing equipment, umpires, to name a few. We do not receive any funding from the Town for anything. Without the help of our parents and support from a few other partners, we could not have this opportunity for our community children. So please go to the link and let’s start the season off on an amazing showing of our league to all our guests. ________________________________

Field work day March 24th @2pm

Hope everyone is having a great Spring break! I really appreciate all efforts from coaches and parents getting practices going!
We are having our first and maybe only field work day Sunday March 24th @ 2pm! •fence clips on chainlink to replace zip ties •painting new fence pipe being installed this week on field 5 and field 1 •weaving rope around back stop nets field 2, 4 and 1. •raking leaves from fences •picking up trash •cleaning concession and bathrooms •installing gates
The more helping hands we have the faster it gets done. Even if you just have an hour or two of time we would love the help! Thank you you for the support of our youth in making a clean safe environment!

Rosters

We have put all players on teams contingent on possible drops or changes. We had a coaches meeting on Sunday and by now they should have had time to contact players. If you have not yet been contacted, let us know either at president@kieferyouthsports.org or messaging us on kiefer youth sports Facebook page and we will make sure everyone is assigned a team and knows where to go next.

2024 Season Update

Good news!!!
We have had a great response for sign-ups this year. We currently have enough to field teams in every age group except 10u softball. The slots we have available, at this time are: 3 for 6u baseball, 3 for 6u softball, 6 for 8u softball (second team waiting list), 2 for 12u softball. Any sign ups past these numbers will be added to a waiting list. We have good rosters and do not want to overfill them.
We will be sending player lists out to coaches this weekend for them to start contacting players. There may be a few additions if we receive any more sign-ups, but we want to allay any concerns about having a team to play on. Additionally, there will be a workday coming in the very near future and the more people we have, the more we get done for our kids.
Other good news is that we received enough donations to purchase two AED units, as well as some first aid materials and training.
Coaches should have been contacted about CPR training and needing to get paperwork for background checks. If you can text your email address to 918-261-8329 we can make sure to get you the paperwork. Thank you in advance for making a great season for our kids and our community.
